about
Manuela is a composer and multi-media artist who blends the worlds of classical contemporary music with visual media creating an immersive multi-sensory experience. Her background in contemporary dance, fine arts, and classical piano as well as her experience living in Guatemala, Ecuador, Thailand, Colombia, and currently in the U.S. have inspired her to create music that reflects on the adaptability of the human experience and the abstraction of emotion.
Currently enrolled at the Boston Conservatory studying composition, and at Berklee College of Music in film and media scoring, she has composed for large ensembles such as the Boston Conservatory’s string orchestra and choir as well as for chamber ensembles like string quartets and duets varying in instrumentation; now working on an album for voice, electronics, and live instruments.
